In 1936, novelist Rosa Chacel published a collection of poems entitled At the Edge of a Well . Pieropan, who holds a Ph.D. in Hispanic literature from the University of Massachusetts, discusses Chacel’s life and poetic credo as well as her use of imagery and language, and recurrent themes in her work.
