1999: Original cover painting by Mark Salwowski for the 1999 Orbit edition of Maureen McHugh’s multiple-award-winning science fiction opus, “China Mountain Zhang”. 72 x 48 cms, painted in ink on illustration board. Fine, pristine. With an intense and beautiful sci-fi mood, Salwowski’s cover far exceeds those of several other editions of the famed novel. Big and striking, a room-center eye-catcher hanging on the wall – it is, in fact, hanging on mine right now, with another Mark Salwowski piece. Frame is not included, though.
