Sara is a single mother, working on an extraordinary project to learn more about her history, uncovering the lives of her mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. As she carefully turns the fading pages of their worlds, Sara is drawn into them. Learning as much about them as words and photos can tell, Sara gradually searches for understanding of herself, her needs, and her responsibilities to a world in which her own young daughter must one day make her way.
