Elizabeth David (1913–1992) transformed British attitudes to cooking and eating, importing Mediterranean influences but also celebrating the best in English cuisine. This volume brings together three of her classic titles, Mediterranean Food, with paella, cassoulets and pilaffs among its meat and salad dishes; French Country Cooking, in which she imparts culinary wisdom as well as regional recipes that were to inspire generations of home-grown chefs; and Summer Cooking, focusing on seasonal produce.
