The adventures begun in Newbery Award-winning Shabanu (94414) continue in Haveli, which received the Parent’s Choice award in 1993. Shabanu is now eighteen and mother of five-year-old Mumtaz. She lives with her husband and his other wives, but her beauty and influence over her husband create jealousy and competition in the large family.
