Introduction To Electronic Communication

This book is intended to function as a workbook, with drill problems, solved problems, end-of-chapter problems and links to “virtual experiments”, all included. The web browser based virtual laboratories and virtual simulations augment the printed material and prepare the user for further simulations or laboratory experiments. Digital communication is highlighted, since most new system designs use digital methods. Review of signal theory and application specific materials included within the first four chapters—The focus is on a physical implementation rather than theory. There is limited math development and no proofs. Much of the theory is provided on a “just in time basis” ; with more detail following in later chapters. Appropriate as a workbook in practicing simulations or laboratory experiments in electronic communication.
