Irving’s Delight: At last! A cat story for the whole family!

This is the story of Irving the Cat, who has become a legend in his own time.

Irving does television commercials for the Pussyfoot Cat Food Company, and has sold more food than any other cat in show business. Why? Because Irving can eat the food out of a can with his paw. Just like you, just like me.

But then disaster strikes when Irving gets kidnapped – right before he is slated to go on the Super Bowl.

What to do?

In desperation, the Pussyfoot Cat Food people hire the greatest living pet detective in the world, Inspector Alain Pierre Bernheim, for $1,000 a day.

In a race against time Bernheim must outwit the villanous cads who would stoop so low as to take the beloved Irving and threaten him with bodily harm.

The French detective considers it his toughest case. He is baffled by the lack of clues. He is baffled by New York City. He is baffled by the Super Bowl.

Can he overcome these obstacles and save Irving? Will America’s favorite cat ever be able to eat with his paw again? And what about Maria Drake, who is torn between her love for Edgar Allen McGruder and her admiration for Inspector Bernheim?
