Poemas del Mio Cid

The Poema del mio Cid is without a doubt, one of the greatest monuments of Spanish Literature. Until the recently discovered “jarchas mozarabes”, it was the first significant work of literary history and the only medieval epic preserved. Even the many questions surrounding the poem, such as its author, the date written, and its historical accuracy; are no obstacles to enjoying the deeds and misfortunes of Spain’s national hero, the Cid Campeador.
