Reciprocal Teaching at Work: Strategies for Improving Reading Comprehension

Reciprocal teaching is a technique based on teacher modeling, student participation, and four strategies that good readers use to comprehend predicting, questioning, clarifying, and summarizing. Although reciprocal teaching originally was designed for use with struggling readers, author Lori D. Oczkus offers innovative lessons aimed at improving the reading comprehension of all students.
