“Novel starts in a University Experimental Pathology building in 1919. A young doctor in his twenties, puts his interest in medical research ahead of everything else. He hoped to find the explanation for current epidemics in the British Isles classified as influenza. His aim – to isolate the bacillus responsible and to develop a preventive vaccine. His ambition was fraught with difficulties – unfair treatment, lack of the necessities of life, and the selfish viewpoint of his superior.”
