The Bonesetter’s Daughter

Ruth Young is a ghostwriter living in contemporary San Francisco.Her mother, LuLing, haunted by ghosts from her past, feverishly begins writing down all of her experience as a young girl in turn-of-the-century China. While caring for the ailing LuLing, Ruth stumbles upon these pages and is entranced by this intimate look into her mother’s tumultuous life.
