The setting is Troy, it’s the ninth year of the siege. The Trojan warriors Idaeus, a self-professed agnostic and skeptic, falls victim to his emotions. His affairs of the heart–with Helen of Troy and Hecamed–leave him at a decided disadvantage, for the women Idaeus pursues use reason to manipulate him. Originally serialized, for the first time “The Great Legend” appears in book form.
