The Railway Children

Life is easy, even a little boring, for Roberta, Peter, and Phyllis – until the fateful day that their father is called away. No one will even say where he has gone, and their mother takes them to live in a small house faraway.

Now life becomes difficult and lonely, until the three children discover the railway line. Soon they make friends with the stationmaster, the porter – and a mysterious passenger on the train.

But the baffling puzzle remains:
What has happened to their father?
Will they ever be able to see him again?
