The Witch Hill Murder

“Tell me your Ruin! Siderea Saves!” is the cry from the manor on Witch Hill, where 500 scarlet-hosed, helmeted followers of a British Sun Myung Moon have set up housekeeping. Town Clerk (and millionaire bachelor) Richard Brewster opposes the Sidereans’ building plans, receives threatening notes, and–on the eve of his marriage to a lovely widow–is found shot on Witch Hill road. The lovely widow’s dearest friend happens to be ex-magician Merle Capricorn of Scotland Yard, who must juggle 500+ crisscrossing alibis, secrets from the baroque Brewster family history, and his own pit-a-pat feelings for the lovely widow and a Siderean house mother.
