Adam Larey rode into town alone, thinking finally that his troubles were over. He was finished with the biggest problem in his life–his brother, Guerd, a man who was plain ornery through and through, with a dangerous mean streak that made him one of the most feared gunmen in the West. Now, riding into a new town, Adam wanted to be done with Guerd forever. But Guerd rode in just a few days behind Adam. And when the brothers saw each other, the old sparks of hatred started to fly.
