Words of the Prophet Muhammad

The present volume is an anthology compiled from the Hadith literature, an Islamic source second only to the Quran in religious importance. Although brief, it covers, directly or indirectly, the more important aspects of the Hadith’s teachings. The sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (saw) have handed down to posterity through both oral and written traditions, the foundations of which were laid by the Prophet’s Companions, some of whom were also his scribes.
